ARIPO Regional Training for CMOs

ARIPO training for CMOs

UPRS participated in the ARIPO Regional Training for Collective Management Organizations held in Harare.

The workshop focused on strengthening governance, transparency, and accountability in intellectual property management.

UPRS was represented by Chairman Mr. Okello Kelo Sam and CEO Ms. Nassuna Morrine Sharon.

UPRS Meeting with UNMF

Uganda

UPRS meeting with UNMF

UPRS and the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) held discussions to address key concerns around royalties.

They agreed to adopt music usage monitoring technology, improve royalty distribution transparency, and expand revenue streams.

Artists were encouraged to register their works to ensure proper tracking and compensation.

UPRS licensing agents training

UPRS trained licensing agents to ensure compliance among commercial music users across the country.

The training supports fair royalty collection and enforcement of copyright obligations.

National Copyright Sensitization Campaign

UPRS sensitization campaign

UPRS launched a nationwide campaign to educate music users about copyright law.

Workshops targeted bars, broadcasters, hotels, and other commercial users of music.

The campaign aimed to improve compliance and increase royalty collections.

UPRS Annual General Meeting 2023

UPRS AGM 2023

UPRS held a successful AGM attended by members, regulators, and stakeholders.

Members approved major resolutions including record royalty distribution worth UGX 247 million.

The meeting also focused on improving compliance, governance, and future growth strategies.
