UPRS Membership Requirements
Review the membership requirements before starting your registration.
Natural Persons (Composer, Authors, Producer, Publisher, Performer)
Creators & Individuals
Membership Fee
UGX 50,000 required.
- 1Payment of the UGX 50,000 membership fee.
- 2A list of titles of works to be registered.
- 3Contribution agreements for the registered works showing the percentage share for each contributor.
- 4A scanned recent passport-size photograph in PDF format.
- 5A scanned copy of a valid National Identity Card in PDF format.
- 6Applicants under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a valid National Identity Card scanned in PDF format.
- 7Full name and contact details of the next of kin.
- 8Applications made on behalf of a deceased person must include a death certificate and a court-issued letter of administration, both in PDF format.
- 9Bank account and mobile money account details registered in the applicant’s name for royalty payment.
- 10An active mobile phone number.
Legal Entities (Choir, Record Label Company, Publishing Company)
Companies & Organizations
Membership Fee
UGX 50,000 required.
- 1Payment of the UGX 50,000 membership fee.
- 2A scanned copy of the Certificate of Incorporation in PDF format.
- 3A scanned copy of the TIN registration certificate in PDF format.
- 4A valid trading license scanned in PDF format.
- 5A signed company resolution to join UPRS in PDF format.
- 6A list of titles of works represented by the entity, clearly indicating the percentage share for each contributor, together with signed contracts between contributors such as composers, authors, producers, and performers.
- 7Preferred bank account details registered in the entity’s name for royalty payment.
